There are a number of trails on Guanyin Mountain, the most popular being Yinghanling. The terminal point of that trail is a scenic outlook which is the highest summit on the mountain. From that point there are spectacular views on Danshui, Taipei and more. Of course the view is always a factor of the weather and can go from spectacular to almost zero and I have experienced both. I have hiked to this summit many times but I have never hiked it at night so last night was an exciting experience. The temperature was perfect, the sky was cloud covered but the visibility was still pretty good. I was happy with the view and a few of my photos came out pretty good. This was also the first time that I got to use my “head lamp” and it worked perfect. You definitely need a light. It appears that at one time the trail had lights but not now. On the way down I saw eyes glowing on the stairs. They were frog eyes.
Hi, being a tourist, may I know how to reach Kuanying Mountain?
Thank you…
