The Electronic Sky Lantern at the Global Mall in Hsinchu is reported to be the largest of its kind in the world and is ranked #15 of things to see in Hsinchu. The Sky Lantern was originally part of the 2010 World Expo. It was relocated to Hsinchu in 2013 and now, a shopping mall is connected to it. I viewed it for free from the outside and found it very interesting. I read a number of unfavorable reviews from people who paid for the inside tour. I think that the free part was so good that they felt that the pay part was not worth the money. You can go and watch it for free.
