Shuangxi

I just visited Shuangxi for the first time.  Shuangxi is a rural district in the eastern part of New Taipei City.  It has the appeal of towns like Pingxi and Shiding but it is bigger.  It is easily reached by rail as it has its own railway station. It has a river running through the town as well as a couple of nice temples and low flying eagles.
