The Shihmen Dam was completed in 1964, a project that took 8 years. If offers benefits of irrigation, water supply, power generation, flood prevention and tourism.

There are a number of scenic attractions, recreational activities and a Lake Tour. There is a vehicle entrance fee of $30 for a scooter, $80 compact car, $300 for a full size car. Ticket office is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Nice place for a picnic, walk and sight seeing.
