Kavalan Whisky

Taiwan is a culinary destination so good food is a given but I was surprised to find out that they have an international award winning whisky.  When I heard about Kavalan I was curious about its taste and was elated to have the opportunity to taste a sample at the distillery in Yilan.

They also have a DIY (do it yourself) whiskey blending project for $400TWD.

Just note that Kavalan is rather expensive but Taiwan also has other good whiskies at affordable prices.
