Snorkeling is a major attraction at Green Island maybe because of the coral reef. Snorkeling was part of our tour package and it was more elaborate than I expected. I was surprised to find out that we would be wearing wet suits. The great thing about that is you don’t have to worry about getting sunburn. You get outfitted at the diving shop then drive your scooter to the snorkeling area. There are instructions given on how to clean the mask and so on. I say so on because it is all in Chinese. My group explained everything to me and made sure that I was safe. If you can’t swim and have never done this before but you always wanted to do it I would say give it a try. Everyone wears life jackets, you are in a group, everyone holds onto flotation rings that are roped together, it seemed safe to me.
We saw a lot of fish and a coral reef. We did not have our cameras with us and all of the photos posted here except one were taken by our tour leader and posted on their Facebook. The photo of the fish was taken by Mono and that photo is kind representative of what we saw while snorkeling.
