Mount Qixing is the tallest mountain in Yangmingshan National Park. This is the 3rd time that I climbed it, maybe this will be a once a year pilgrimage . No technical skill is required just the ability to climb steps for about 1.5 hours going up. The mountain can be climbed from different trails. My first and third climb started from the visitor center directly below. My second climb was on a different trail and is seemed faster and easier. I don’t know if I started at a higher elevation or if I was in better shape.
The view from the 3 climbs was very different. The first time that I climbed it the view was clear. I don’t think that was typical. The second climb by the time that I got to the top the view was just a few feet so I couldn’t see anything at all. That can happen any time that you climb it. My third climb, from which the photos are from, the view was mixed.
