Taipei 101 Modern Marvel

Taipei 101 is a Modern Marvel. For me it is the foremost ICON in Taiwan. I cannot think of Taiwan without visualizing Taipei 101. Coming from Chicago we have the Willis (A.K.A. Sears) Tower which is of a similar height as Taipei 101 and it is older. In comparison the big difference between Taipei 101 and the Willis Tower is that in Chicago the Willis Tower is the tallest of many tall buildings. In Taipei, Taipei 101 is thee tall building. Taipei 101 absolutely dwarfs every other building in all of Taiwan. Taipei 101 is the visual focus of the city, you look up and it is there…where ever you are.

There are so many cool things about Taipei 101 and the more you learn about it the more you appreciate it. I want to share one thing with you that a lot of people don’t know. At night when you look at Taipei 101 you can tell what day it is. How? Look at the tower light! Everyday of the week it is a different color. Monday = red, Tuesday = orange, Wednesday = yellow, Thursday = green, Friday = blue, Saturday = violet, Sunday = purple.
