Aogu Wetland Forest Park a bird watchers paradise

Aogu Wetland Forest Park is located in Dongshi Township in Chiayi County.  The park is reclaimed abandoned sea land that was originally used for agriculture. The park is huge, 1470 hectars (3631 acres) but there is a road around it so you can drive and observe.  More than 200 species of birds have been spotted here.  Many migrating birds make this a winter home so the best bird watching time is from the fall through the winter to the next spring.  But even in off season you can see a lot of birds.  Check out a few of my photos taken in the off season just doing a quick drive through to check the place out.
