Fire Water – Unbelievable, Mud Volcanoes – no way

If you have watched American Cowboy movies you know what fire water is. I am not talking about that, I am talking about the real fire water. Common sense tells me that water can’t burn so fire water is unbelievable. I saw it with my own eyes and I kept telling myself that it must be a trick.

Taiwan not only has fire water but also Mud Volcanoes. Mud volcanoes are rare and only about 20 countries have them.

So how does all of this work. Methane gas bubbles up through the water and when it reaches the surface it can be ignited. The example shown in the photos are from the Guanziling fire water cave. The video clip is from a mud volcano in Kaohsiung.

I have seen things like this discovering them on my own by accident. I mean without an explanation how would you describe them. I have been left speechless many times. The good thing is that since I can’t speak Chinese when I am left speechless it doesn’t effect anything.
